Editing on site for a quick turn-around video.
As part of a joint event I travelled with another member of the design team to edit and cut down video which was being shot the same day so we could put out a video on the next day.
My colleague filmed the event, during which I would take video from them during the course of the day and work on the the final edit for the output video. It was a fast-paced, fun experience which required a high level of coordination as well as managing interviewees and other stakeholders which were organising the event.
The editing involved cutting down much longer interviews, cutting together segments and finding as much appropriate b-roll from that which my colleague had shot. I timed the cuts to the music as much as possible and also dealt with the last-minute request from another stakeholder that the video be extended to include a certain interviewee, reediting around that and working into the evening to get the file ready for publishing.
