A development of personal skills and explaining complex topics.
This video was the result of project which sought to explain the important of certain energy grid layouts to an audience which might not be aware of any differences.
I developed the look and feel, along with working with SME's to create a script which flowed nicely before moving onto storyboards, illustration of the assets, setting them up for animation before getting to the animation itself. Finally I liased with an external voice actor to add the finishing touches!
Over the course of a couple of months, the project took shape with myself responding to the needs of the client as well as developing my own skills in After Effects to make sure that the animation flowed as well as I could make it. It was a project which I am proud to have worked on, as I had only worked on one animation of a similar length and complexity prior to this and the lessons learned from that really helped streamline this one.
